Hello all,
This is Jen's dad posting here for a very quick update.
We had a great Easter weekend, where Jen's counts have continuously been above the threshold for engraftment, and is officially declared engrafted from the transplant. Praise the Lord. We were able to spend Sunday afternoon/evening with her and it was very good for all of us.
They have weaned her off the IV based food (TPN) and some of the meds and insulin, which is all good. She is still having nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, throat pain and stomach cramps from her Mucositis (GI infection), due to which she is not able to eat almost anything. This has made her very weak the last 2 days, and she also developed a fever last night. Please pray for healing and strength.
In the heels of Easter celebration, I have been reading 1 Corinthians 15 in the Bible, and am reminded of this verse 57: But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Vijay for All the Anands
Praise the Lord for the engraftment! What good news. We are praying that the white blood cells multiply, that the infection is defeated and that Jen can eat again.
